Get ready to pop a few corks ladies – the Magnums are in town.
Wider in the hips than the shoulders, these ladies are built to bubble over with effervescence. Just ask the owner of the most famous booty in the world. She looks fantastic because she wears the right stuff. So don’t be whinging about your ASSet! – learn how to dress it and make it rock the house like Beyonce does.
Maximise your shoulders to balance with your hips. Do this by adding shoulder pads, cap sleeves, puff sleeves or a bolero. Minimise the impact of your bum with slim/dark pants or a jacket/coat that finishes either above or below the widest part of your hips. Another waist-flattering option that looks great is the trench coat. It’s also great for selling watches on the side.
This long sleeve shaped shirt does a similar job and having it in a lighter colour makes your torso appear larger. Create visual distractions by layering the top half, use lighter colours, patterns or textures. For instance bolero tops or shawls.
This fitted tunic top with a boatneck helps to emphasize the shoulders and the fitted skirt helps to minimise the bottom. Adding fitted styles at your waist accentuates your waistline so do this with wrap tops or fitted lines.
Total figure hugging outfits.
Any bottoms that add bulk to your hips like harem pants, full skirts.
Any tops that make your shoulders look small.
This sheath dress minimises the shoulder line. A better look would be with a cap sleeve or a light top and dark bottom.
Avoid any bottom that adds volume to your lower half. For example wide leg pants, culottes, crop pants, cargo pants , business trousers with cuffs.
Avoid mini-skirts or tunic hemlines that finish at the widest point of hips/legs and draw attention to this point.
These style guidelines are general.
